Lake Nockamixon, PA (04/6/03) Under tough conditions, John Detweiler and Chris Derstine took first in our 7th Annual Spring Open Buddy tournament. Their winning bag of 10.79 lbs easily led the field.
John and Chris only weighed in 2 fish but it was anchored by a 6.48 lb largemouth. Their lunker also earned them the largemouth lunker for the day. Second place went to Don Anderson and John Grida who weighed in 2 fish for a total of 7.78 lbs (lunker 5.35 lb largemouth). The lunker smallmouth was awarded to Brian Clark and Frank Holz for a 3.64 lb lunker.
In the end, the 56 teams weighed in 17 bass (15-lm, 2-sm) for a total weight of 56.6 lbs (3.33 lb avg).
Overall, it was a tough day. We would like to thank everyone that participated. In addition, we would like to thank Anglers Paradise in Allentown for their prize donations.
