Manasquan Reservoir, NJ (10/11/09) For our 8th tournament of the 2009 tournament trail, the club travelled to Manasquan Reservoir, NJ. With the YTD standings getting tighter, each tournament is becoming more critical. For this year, Manasquan would prove to be as difficult as ever.
On a very difficult day, Ron Gable was able to earn his 2nd victory of the year with a 1 fish 3.33 lb bag. After having 7 different winners for the first 7 tournaments, Ron was able to break the pattern with his 2nd win.
Ron's bag edged (2) Norm Post 2.08 lbs and (3) John Welsh 0.88lbs.
Ron's 3.33 lb lunker also took top honors in the lunker pool.
Overall, the cliub only weighed in 4 fish for a total weight of 6.29 lbs.
In the YTD standings, Norm Post vaulted into 1st place followed closely by Chuck Ward and Ron Gable. With only 1 tournament remaining, the title is up for grabs with at least 5 anglers having a shot for the title.
